I'm a pastor who happens to be a musician — though I've spent most of my life being both at the same time.
I grew up in Wichita picking up the violin from the age of eight, eventually serving as concertmaster of the Wichita Youth Symphony before heading to college on a scholarship. Along the way I picked up a guitar, started leading worship, and realized that music was one of the most natural ways I knew how to serve people.
I studied Bible and theology alongside music theory and composition, got married, and have spent the last decade and a half in full-time ministry - most recently at Southland Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky, where I've led worship, planned gatherings and events, and done pastoral care with high school students and the volunteers who show up for them every week.
I care about helping people sing, volunteers feeling seen, and creative work that helps people pay attention to who God is and what He's doing.
